SAITO Meo, “Enshrined Flower” from Encyclopedia of Abortive Flower, 2008/ Private collection

This exhibition is the third in the well-received Labyrinth of Lines series. SAITO Meo depicts fictional life and deserting time in the style of scientific illustration using rich colors.

The exhibition displays SAITO’s works centering around the Encyclopedia of Abortive Flowers series with Temple of Flora, an illustrated book by a 19th century botanical illustrator, Robert Thornton to capture their wonderful worldviews that resonates beyond generations.
